What are the elements of the WQPredict dataset?
Daily Concentrations
Measured concentration (mg/L) are too sparse to estimate loads reliably. WQPredict models daily concentrations to fill gaps between measurements.
Nutrient Loads
Nutrient load is the mass of nitrogen or phosphorus (tons/year) being exported from the watershed. It is estimated by combining nutrient concentrations with streamflow data.
Spatial Coverage
WQPredict includes monitoring sites across the US and Canada. The sites represent a range of watershed sizes, land uses, and hydroclimatic regions.
